Wintec Media Arts Eco Design Award
Mark Wassung and Abigail Prestidge from Design Engine Architects are on the WINTEC (Waikato Institute of Technology) Media Arts Committee, helping with creating better industry connections and placement work experience for students. We came up with the idea of creating a Trophy to reward Eco Design Excellence. The trophy was designed constructed out of 100% recycled material: plywood offcuts from Waikato Riverhouse, other plywood offcuts, brightly coloured paper and a discarded carburettor to "rise like a phoenix" adding reinforcement to the ESD Principle of "Cradle to Cradle" recycling at its best.
